Because of the new recent (and past) problems with the host i've considered several times to change host.

But before i couldn't because when i started the site invisionbyte.net domain was registered through the hosting company, now i've already asked (and received) the EPP key to unlock the domain name so i'm going to move it to another registrar site.

Some customers offered me to host the site on their dedicated or VPS servers, while i appreciate that i prefer anyway to not have my site hosted by a customer (for some reasons that are long to explain and also i'm not sure you will understand me with my noob english )

Actually i'm hosted with ASO (A Small Orange) but also after the recent server change the site still have issues, because of that i want to have some feedback from you about a stable host where you had no problems.

I don't need anything special (at least not for now), my actual hosting plan have 400MB of disk space and 10GB of bandwidth

I still day Godaddy.com..

Yeah you might think Im an idiot just following the trend but I have used quite a few hosting companies over the years and I have never found a company with so many options, so easy to use and always instant help whether online or by phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and you can even understand what they say because they are ENGLISH speaking! (Im sure being a world wide company they have Itialian speakers also :) )

Their price might be a bit higher than some places, but I think an extra $1 per month is so worth the payment for the support and control over your domain that you get.

If you would like, since I do trust you, I can give you a look into the background of their services and you can see what all they offer.

Also, I do understand your concerns with customers hosting the site for you :P

At least we care enough to offer though

1and1.com

I know there have been a couple bad things said about them, but really, they have VERY good hosting. Prices are reasonable. Servers are up practicly all the time. They have only been down once on me but that was because they were doing matience, and it only took 15 minutes

Though if you are looking for shared hosting,

hostmonster.com I hear is very good too.

Though if you want dedicated or VPS, then I would go with 1and1  (Is currently using a VPS from 1and1)

Yes, for now i look for a shared hosting.

Site is small and with low traffic, if in the future i get more traffic i might consider upgrading to a VPS/dedicated.

1and1.com has VERY good prices but this is the company that I started with who was banning people all the time for to many connections...

It was when they banned ME that I finally changed hosts..

Their support sucks and none of them know anything about anything.

It took me over 7 days for them to find someone who knew enough to unban me from my own site so I could move it..

I had no access to even log into to my control panel, ftp, forums or anything..

Even recently they had a sale for 50% off vded servers and I considered going back to them for one but after they asked me to fax them copies of my SS#, Birth Cert and proof of address and phone number, I said screw it..

Honestly, what hosting company needs all that crap??

True thier support does suck, but lol, one day I got fed up with talking to those idiots that I said, can I talk to one of your IT people? And they put me on with a IT guy who fixed all my problems

lol nice!

The problem I always had was that the first thing they wanted you to do, no matter what the problem was, "delete your cookies, thats usually the problem"...

WTF?!?! Im banned from my own site and deleting my cookies will do what, ? make me call back in 20 minutes cause my browser can't remember my pw? lol...

Someone needs to tell them that deleting cookies does not solve 99% of the problems you will have with that company..

Deleting your website however, that might

TB, Im going to PM you with some info about Godaddy..

Ill also give you access to the control panel I have so you can see how easy it is to use and how much you can actually change with it..

Info sent..

If you have any questions feel free to ask..

I vouch godaddy 1000000%

Ive used about 10 different hosting companies and each one of them had their problems..usually it was support that simply sucked! but Ive been with godaddy for almost 2 years now and never had an issue.

Times that I have had questions I simply called them up and within 2 minutes was talking to a tech guy who was answering all my questions without having to look them up.

Sometimes support makes all the difference!

It is a bit crowded godaddy control panel

I prefer a simple cPanel :)

Well I did say they give you ALOT of control over your domains.

The control panel though is very simple..Im guessing you went into domain management not hosting.

Try clicking on hosting accounts then opening cpanel from there...Im sure you will have a different view :P
