NoScript and shoutboxes

ok I've started using ff3 on a regular basis so I've added noscript to it but unfortunately it seems to make shoutboxes unusable while still active, is there an option in it I'm missing or something so I can use a shoutbox while noscript is active on a site ? or a way to identify what scripts it's actually blocking on a site?

 

oh and before someone tells me to go to noscripts site I've been on it already and ether missed the info or it's not there plus I know tera uses or used to use noscript so I'm hoping he has an answer for me :D

Yeah I currently use noscript and I've used it from when I started using FF.

 

To see the list of sites blocked I use the small icon bottom-right in the status bar of FF, here you have a simple and effective menu where you can see everything.

Also you can change which options are displayed in this menu and how blocked sites are affected just by changing the extension options

hmmm weird , I've tried unchecking every option that NS has for blocking but it still blocks the SB no matter what changes I seem to make as well as the multiple scripts on your site, so I guess I'm to stupid to figure it out lol which is a shame since I'd really like to figure out how to allow certain scripts to run without having to allow the whole site or at least see what the scripts that are trying to run are Edited February 23, 2009 by ThornKRT

Ah I see, you want to allow only the javascript for the shoutbox but not allow any other javascript of that site?

 

If this is what you want to do then it is not possible with NoScript and I don't know any script that can do that.

no not trying to allow just the java for the SB , the problem is if I turn off the forbid java in the options (and all the other ones for that matter) it still blocks the SB until I OK the whole site in NS, so basically any site I want to use a SB on I have to completely allow in NS or the SB don't work

You have to enable NS globally for the SB to work? Really strange..

 

You don't have an option to always allow only the site domain in your menu instead of using the option to allow NS globally for each site?

yeah I can allow the site domain I was just hoping I was missing an option to set it so that I didn't have to allow the whole site just to get the SB working

Unfortunately no, there is no way in no script to enable only certain files and not others :o

Not a fan of NS. Although it is recommended as a security measure, i find it very annoying. :P But that's just me.
