Management terabyte Posted January 14 Management Posted January 14 Starting today Stripe is also available as a payment processor together with PayPal. Two new options are not available: Credit / Debit Card Apple Pay / Google Pay If you notice any issues let me know by opening a new support request in the Sales department. Management terabyte Posted February 14 Author Management Posted February 14 Stripe has contacted me that apparently this is a Crowdfunding site, and thus it's illegal to use it as a payment gateway. I still haven't heard why they think it's a crowdfunding site, though. I tried to appeal 3 times already, but I'm always sent a pre-made reply without any way to talk directly to someone. Unless something changes, I'll be forced to remove Stripe as a payment option at the end of February 2024. It's an absurd situation. Management terabyte Posted February 16 Author Management Posted February 16 The automatic review process kept failing, but after going back and forth a few more times by email with their support, I'm happy to report that everything was resolved. S77 Posted May 21 Posted May 21 (edited) I never knew that strip could be used to do payouts for creators similar to how PayPal works. That's exciting. But of course Stripe blocks it for some stupid rule they have. "Crowdfunding" ?? UGH So glad you were able to resolve this! WOOT Edited May 21 by S77
Management terabyte Posted May 21 Author Management Posted May 21 They detected the site as crowdfunding because I had the Donations and Gift Cards areas enabled. It made me even more confused since their own site allows creating donation links. The more you know... Joey-M Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Stripe is a good payment gateway, I use them and I find more people prefer to use them over other options such as PayPal. Their quick payment processing is also a nice touch.
